Lambda
Sigma Gamma is a multicultural
sorority chartered on March
11, 1986 and founded October
24, 1986 at the California
State University, Sacramento
campus. Our founding mothers
felt that there was a need
for an organization that would
instill the desire for self-improvement,
scholastic excellence, and
the cultivation of civic responsibility;
also to promote unity and
higher education amongst women.
Since then Lambda Sigma Gamma
has grown to include a family
of over 1600 women from 21
collegiate chapters across
California.
We
are a support group and family
away from home. As sisters,
we believe that no two people
are the same. We all have
different dreams, needs, and
goals. Our diversity impulses
our growth. It gives us the
energy to continue onward
by building upon a strong
foundation and working together
with mutual trust and respect
that we can create a world
of brighter promise. The diversity
and creativity of our members
have helped us become leaders.
We value the diversity of
our members, their talents
and perspectives, which are
the foundation of our success.
